Author Guidelines

Journal of Management and Business Research (JRMB) is an academic journal with peer-reviewed process in management disciplines.

Research Articles dealing with Brand Management, Consumer Behavior and Marketing Research, Business Administration, Business Ethics, Entrepreneurship, Financial Management, General Management, Human Resources Management, Operations Management, Organizational Behavior, and related topics are particularly subject to welcome. The journal encompasses research articles, original research reports, reviews, short communications and scientific commentaries in management studies.

1. General Author Guidelines

All manuscripts must be submitted to JRMB Editorial Office by Online Submission at E-Journal portal address: http://jrmb.ejournal-feuniat.net/index.php/JRMB/user/register, where author register as Author and/or offered as Reviewer by online. If authors have any problems on the online submission, please contact Editorial Office at the following email: editor.jrmb@gmail.com.

The following documents should accompany the manuscripts submitted by online through online submission interface (as supplementary files):

  • Signed Copyright Transfer Agreement (CTA) form originally (scan the document after signed). Download
  • covering letter, outlines the basic findings of the paper and their significance.

Five types of manuscripts are acceptable for publication: research reports, case studies, literature reviews, book reviews, and the conceptual framework.

3. Reviewing of manuscripts

Every submitted paper is independently reviewed by at least two peer-reviewers. The decision forpublication,or rejection is based upon their reports/recommendation. If two or more reviewers consider a manuscript unsuitable for publication in this journal, a statement explaining the basis for the decision will be sent to the authors within 2 – 8 weeks of the submission date.

4. Revision of manuscripts

Manuscripts sent back to the authors for revision should be returned to the editor without delay. Revised manuscripts can be sent to editorial office through the Online Submission Interface or can be sent to editor.jrmb@gmail.com. The revised manuscripts returned more than four months will be considered as new submissions.

6. Guideline for Online Submission

Author should first register as Author and/or is offered as Reviewer through the following address: http://jrmb.ejournal-feuniat.net/index.php/JRMB/user/register

The author should fulfill the form as detail as possible where the star marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, Author clicks on “Register” button to proceed the registration. Therefore, Author is brought to online author submission interface where Author should click on “New Submission”. In the Starta New Submission section, click on “’Click Here’: to go to step one of the six-step submission process”. The following are six steps in online submission process:

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

After this submission, Authors who submit the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, Authors are able to track their submission status atanytimeby loggingin tothe online submission interface. The submission tracking includesstatusof manuscript review and editorial process.

7. Author Fee (Page Charge)

7.1. Article Processing Charge (APC)

JRMB: Jurnal Riset Manajemen dan Bisnis is an open access national journal. Since manuscript submission year 2018, Authors may pay some processing fees for article processing, Web maintenance and reprint issue once their articles had been accepted. This publication fee is to cover the cost of editorial work, editing, publishing online and in print, it will be billed to the submitting author or corresponding author upon acceptance of the article.

Article Submission: 0.00 (IDR)
Authors are required to pay an Article Submission Fee as part of the submission process to contribute to review costs.

Fast-Track Review: 0.00 (IDR)
With the payment of this fee, the review, editorial decision, and author notification on this manuscript is guaranteed to take place within 4 weeks.

Article Publication: 0.00 (IDR)
If this paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publications costs.

Waiver Policy
For some institutions may have limited funding for their research activities. Our primary goal is to accelerate the dissemination of knowledge through the publication of high-quality research articles. We are continually pursuing this goal, without putting an undue financial burden on researchers or their institutions.We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work.

8. User Rights

All articles published Open Access will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download.  We are continuously working with our author communities to select the best choice of license options, currently being defined for this journal as follows:

9. Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

9.1. The manuscripts represent academic research in Management discipline.

9.2. Upon the publication of the manuscript, the author should provide a letter states that the manuscripts have never been, or under consideration to be, published in other journal publications.

9.3. Structure of the manuscripts

  1. Title. The title should be short, clear, and informative, but does not exceed 12 words.
  2. Author’s names and institutions. The author’s names should be accompanied by the author’s institutions and email addresses, without any academic titles and/or job title.
  3. Abstract and keywords. The abstract should be less than 200 words. The keywords should be 2 to 7 phrases.
  4. Introduction. This section explains the background of the study, and aims of the manuscripts. It should be written without numbers and/or pointers.
  5. Literature Review. This section explains the theoretical framework that used on this research, a review on the previous research in the area.
  6. Methods. This section describes the tools of analysis along with the data and their sources.
  7. Discussion. This section explains the results of the study.
  8. Limitations. This section explain the limitations of the study and suggested future research
  9. Conclusions. This section concludes and provides policy implications, if any, of the study.
  10. References. This section lists only the papers, books, or other types of publications referred in the manuscript.

9.4. The authors should provide an index of subject, namely the specific terms  in the manuscript. The authors should also provide the index of authors, namely the key authors of papers referred in the manuscript. Please write the family name followed by the given name.

9.5. Estimation result from a software package is not allowed to be directly presented in the paper. They should be presented in equations with the appropriate estimation results.

9.6. Table format should contain only heading and contents. Please provide the top and bottom lines, along with the line(s) that separate the heading and the contents.

9.7. Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa). Any references cited in the abstract must be given in full. Unpublished results and personal communications are not recommended in the reference list, but may be mentioned in the text. If these references are included in the reference list they should follow the standard reference style of the journal and should include a substitution of the publication date with either 'Unpublished results' or 'Personal communication'. Citation of a reference as 'in press' implies that the item has been accepted for publication.

9.8. For web references, as a minimum, the full URL should be given and the date when the reference was last accessed.

9.9. References should be arranged first alphabetically and then further sorted chronologically if necessary. More than one reference from the same author(s) in the same year must be identified by the letters 'a', 'b', 'c', etc., placed after the year of publication.
